Most online businesses know they need to SEO their site, at least to some degree. But many fail to comprehend just how important it is and why their websites can’t survive without it.
Is SEO Cost Effective?
For some, the concern is cost. Sure, it’s understandable that a business owner would want to save cash on expenses, but this isn’t really an area you want to skimp. SEO services are invaluable in terms of bang for your buck, often costing considerably less than other marketing strategies, and providing the same, if not better, results.
In short: if there isn’t room in your marketing budget for SEO, you need to save money by making cuts other places, not through eliminating SEO from your website.

Want to get the most out of Google+ for your business? It’s a good to start thinking about strategies for Google
plus for your business because even Facebook is taking note of their presence. The social media giant is making updates to match Google+. Here are some great tips to enhance your Google plus experience if you’re a business owner.
Google+ for Business Tip #1 - Add the profile card to your plug. It’s a simple WordPress plugin that puts your Google+ profile on the sidebar of your blog. This lets your regular following know that not only can they find you on Facebook and Twitter but they can now stalk you for valuable info on Google Plus as well.
Google+ for Business Tip #2 - Throw photos in like a slideshow. In Google+, create a new album and upload a series of slides as images. Make sure they’re all the same size. Upload them in the order you want them to be seen. Google Plus then creates a viewer people can click through much like a slideshow. If you’ve got some new images from the workspace or your interaction with clients this is a great way to share them.
Google+ for Business Tip #3 - Google Plus doesn’t really have a good search function to find relevant people to connect with. You can tackle this on your own however just like you’ve been finding your customers all along. Do a Google search using the query “internet marketing” site:plus.google.com
Also – don’t forget to add the Google +1 button to your website and blog posts. This gives your followers the ability to +1 your posts, just like a Facebook like. The benefit here is that Google has openly stated +1 notations will impact search results. You can already see the results of +1′s in your search results if people within your network have liked a page you commonly see in search.
Is Google Plus Ready for Business?
There’s some benefit to being one of the first ones out of the gate and launching their business info into the Google Plus universe, but I say it’s still really early to go tampering with that playground. I recommend business owners watch and learn before learning through error. Mistakes in social media can have profound impacts on business, and in some cases it’s better to wait and watch.
Learn how your customers are using Google+ and discover the best way to meet them in their comfort zone. Once you start to master the new social media platform you can turn your attention back to your SEO link building.
